Soul Searching in 2026

Psalm 139:23-24 ESV states, “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

As we planned for our inaugural Soul Searching Sister Gathering, we asked God to search our hearts. We wanted Him to highlight areas that did not honor His vision for the gathering, so we could exchange our plans for His. With that being said, I was excited to bring women of different races, cultures, denominations, and political affiliations together under one roof. I felt led to pour into them and share how we can come together- despite our differences. For example, I wanted to share how a Democrat and Republican could come together and pray for issues that concerned each other about our world! Yet, as the gathering drew near, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that God was not gathering Democrats and Republicans. He was gathering His daughters. We belong to Him and He wants us to remember that. When we value our political parties, race, culture, denomination, or religion itself more than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is grieved. We will talk about this a lot this year, so I pray you will join us on this Soul Searching journey. Think about it! Then, go to the Father and pray about it.
