A Soul Searching Moment
Dear Heavenly Father,
Where do I begin? Your love for us has NO bounds. If I had ten thousand tongues, I could not praise you enough! While the United States flag represents freedom for American citizens, the bloodshed and sacrifice made on the cross represents freedom for every nation! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NIV). You did not leave one person out! Galatians 3: 26-29 NIV states, “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Good Friday represents the promise. Thank you for including me and I look forward to welcoming more people to the family this weekend. Of course, I am thankful that my brothers and sisters don’t have to wait until Sunday morning! They can do it right now! They can acknowledge their sin and surrender their lives to you RIGHT NOW! We don’t have to wait for the pastor to call us forward. The veil was torn. We have access to you, Father! All we have to do is call on the name of Jesus! For Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6) He went on to explain that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. He didn’t speak on his own authority. It was the Father, living in him. Glory! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice! Thank you for being love in the flesh! Thank you for loving me! I know I should end this prayer, but my heart is so full. I just can’t stop thanking YOU and praising YOU! At my best, I am a filthy rag compared to YOU, but YOU were wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you!
