Tuesday Prayer

Soul Searching with Our Father: 12/22/2020

Father God, I come to you in the name that is above every name and that name is Jesus. He is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace. He is called the Prince of Peace because He is our Peace here on Earth. As believers in Christ Jesus, we understand that He is seated at your right hand Father and we understand that He makes intercessions for us, so we are thankful that you loved us enough to send us your son Jesus.

We celebrate His life because He gave His life for us and I can’t speak for anyone else, but I am thankful for your example of giving. For in this household, we do not give gifts based on what a person deserves because you gave us more than we could ever deserve.

Today, I come on behalf of my present and future brothers and sisters in Christ because the enemy works overtime during the Christmas season. His goal is to capitalize on everything we don’t have, so we can lose sight of what is most important and that is love. 1 Peter 4:8 NIV reminds us that love covers a multitude of sin. Let us remember love when we become tempted to right wrongs, find fault, and travel down memory lane with ill intent during this Christmas season. Let us remember love when we’re sitting around the table, discussing news reports and social media posts. Let us remember that love is the greatest gift because it gives us full access to you. For 1 John 4:20 NIV states, “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” Our desire is to love you in spirit and in truth, so we must find it in our hearts to give the gift of love this season and every season. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
