Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV states, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” So, here I am again, Father. I need to know what time it is. Is it “time to mourn or is it time to dance?” Over the last week, I’ve mourned the loss of what was and what could have been. Maybe some of you can relate. I’ve blamed the people with a Pharoah or Pontius Pilate-like mindset for their part in a wicked scheme. Yet, God is showing me how to dance in this season because HIS plan for our lives can’t be stopped. You see, what I forgot last week is that there comes a time when the Pharoahs and Pontius Pilates in our lives must reveal themselves to us. Through that reevaluation, we learn the true definition of love. Of course, we don’t learn the meaning by the way they treat us, but by the way the Holy Spirit enables us to treat them. You see, it all comes back to love! So in this season, I will dance in the face of injustice because injustice doesn’t have a hold over me. As my good friend and sister in Christ, Lorinda Ward says, “That’s God’s Business!” In other words, I’m going to dance and believe in Romans 8:28 ESV. It states, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to HIS purpose.” His purpose is greater than anything we could have ever imagined for ourselves! So what time is it? I am led to believe that it is time to dance! After all, Daniel was in the lion’s den, but God protected him! David fought Goliath as a boy, but God made him victorius. Job lost everything, but God blessed him abundantly in the end. Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery out of jealousy but God put him in a position to help the very ones who sold him. Mary and Martha wept when their brother died, but Jesus brought him back! What he did for them, he can also do for us. Therefore, I will not mourn for what I have lost. I will dance for what is to come! Just think about it. Then, go to the Father and pray about it.
